I know. Another mom with a blog.
Groundbreaking.
Honestly, I resisted this for a while. There are already more mom blogs than sourdough starters in suburbia.
But before you click away, let me say this: I’m not here to hand out curated routines or tell you how to meal prep for the apocalypse. I’m here because I needed a space. A place to share stories, steward what I’ve been given, and keep myself accountable in the middle of what feels like one long to-do list broken up by snack time.
So yes, I started a blog. Let’s get that out of the way.
From Glamorous Brands to Bottles Galore
For years, I worked in commercial production. Directing spots for national brands. I loved the challenge, the creative energy, and the feeling of building something from start to finish. I worked with brands like Disney and Johnson & Johnson, and won some industry awards I was really proud of.
But then life happened. Real life. I became a mom. I got divorced. I got remarried to a Naval Officer. We moved states. And then I had twins.
Suddenly, the high-paced production world that once made so much sense felt like it belonged to a different version of me. Not a lesser or better version. Just a former one. And strangely, I didn’t miss it as much as I thought I would.

What This Season Looks Like
These days, I’m directing a different kind of project. One that starts at sunrise with baby bottles and school lunches and ends with me grocery shopping on my phone while watching an episode of Netflix’s newest reality show.
It’s not glamorous. It’s often chaotic. And it’s definitely still unfolding.
But I’ve started to see my home like a production. Not in a performative way, but because it requires planning, creativity, flexibility, and a lot of grace when things go off-script. Because they always do. This isn’t expert advice. It’s everyday effort in real time.
Why I’m Writing About It
I didn’t start this blog because I have it all figured out. I started it because I don’t, and I don’t want to walk through this season alone.
I’m not here to master the art of homemaking. I’m here to live it with purpose and, hopefully, a little perspective.
Also, talking to adults during the day is nice.
What You’ll Find Here
If you hang around, you’ll see posts about homemaking, military life, family budgeting, systems that mostly work, and honest reflections on trying to do it faithfully but not flawlessly.
Think less “Pinterest mom” and more “trying my best with a whiteboard and Wi-Fi.”
Some might be helpful, and some might be honest enough to make you laugh, but hopefully, it’s a little bit of both.
Let’s Do This Together
If you’re also trying to live with intention in the middle of chaos, then welcome.
This space is for women who want to live this season on purpose, even if it’s with dry shampoo and grace on backorder.
Come on in. The blog is live. The laundry isn’t done. But we’re here, and we’re showing up.
