Day 31. The freezer challenge brought donations, Day 31.

The freezer challenge brought donations, appliance drama, a drink drawer era, and an unreasonable amount of soup.

But it also brought progress.
Actual visible progress.
You’re not a bad mom for serving leftovers. You’re You’re not a bad mom for serving leftovers. You’re just a smart one.
Day 29. I ate the burrito. One meal doesn’t eras Day 29.

One meal doesn’t erase the other 86.
One choice doesn’t undo weeks of progress.

This challenge was never about perfection.
It’s about consistency and long-term results.

Freezer challenge continues tomorrow.
I went into this thinking our grocery bill would b I went into this thinking our grocery bill would basically fall off a cliff.

Instead, it made me actually look at what my grocery bill is made of.

Not to panic.
Not to slash everything.
Just to understand it.

Some things are trade offs.
Some things are just reality.
And some things might be worth a second look for me.

Right now this isn’t about spending less.
It’s about knowing where the money is actually going.

Because vibes are not a budgeting strategy.

Eat it before we move: day 28
Groceries are our second biggest monthly expense. Groceries are our second biggest monthly expense.
Right behind our mortgage.

That’s not because we buy fancy food.
It’s because food is required to live.

There is a baseline cost that cannot be optimized away.
The goal is not eliminating it.
The goal is managing it well.
Buying “healthy” groceries that you don’t eat isn’ Buying “healthy” groceries that you don’t eat isn’t healthy.
It’s just wasting money.

I stopped shopping for who I think I should be
and started shopping for who we actually are.
